Arvada to Join Newly Formed Colorado Smart Cities Alliance

The City of Arvada will announce its leadership role as a founding member in the newly formed Colorado Smart Cities Alliance, a statewide, multi-jurisdictional collaborative of public, private and academic members working together to accelerate smart city projects across the state. The statewide, multi-jurisdictional partnership is the first of its kind in the U.S. to collaborate on the design, development, and testing of smart city technologies.

WHO:     

  • Elected officials and city leaders from Arvada (Mayor Marc Williams), Aurora, Boulder, Centennial, Colorado Springs, City and County of Denver, Ft. Collins, Greenwood Village, Littleton, Lone Tree, Longmont and Westminster
  • The University of Colorado
  • The Colorado Technology Association
  • Leading private-sector tech companies, including Arrow Electronics, Colorado’s largest Fortune 500 company by revenue
  • The Innovation Corridor, a collaborative including Formativ Consulting and Advisory, the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL,) and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) on behalf of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR.)
