Arvada Manufacturing Initiative Launched to Assist Arvada Manufacturers

The Arvada Manufacturing Initiative (AMI) is a pilot program developed by the Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) and Manufacturer’s Edge. The objective of AMI is to provide training and consulting services to Arvada manufacturers that could benefit from assistance, but may not be able to afford it. The Arvada Economic Development Association Board of Directors approved the funds to sponsor program operations. Manufacturer’s Edge will manage the initiative and provide selected manufacturers with a menu of training options in order to keep them competitive in the marketplace.

“AEDA is listening to the needs of its manufacturing community,” said Paul Heller, president of the Arvada Economic Development Association. “We believe that manufacturers who participate can expect to see an increase in sales, creation and/or retention of jobs, cost savings in labor and materials, and an increase in employee skills.”

The Arvada manufacturers selected through AMI will receive training through Manufacturer’s Edge, a statewide assistance center dedicated to increasing the competitiveness of Colorado manufacturers. For over 20 years, Manufacturer’s Edge has been applying its manufacturing expertise and industry resource network to help small businesses. “We are really excited about working with AEDA to support the Arvada manufacturing community. AEDA has been an excellent partner and I can always count on the organization to come up with creative ways to support its businesses,” said Aleta Sherman, regional director of Manufacturer’s Edge.
